Hop Through the Portal This Easter: Family Fun and Art Competition Supporting Avon Needs Trees

March 18, 2026

Wake The Tiger, the UK’s largest immersive art experience, will host a series of Easter activities from 28th March to 19th April, offering a family-friendly day out in Bristol during the school holidays.

Wake The Tiger is also partnering with Avon Needs Trees to support the protection and restoration of local woodlands. The organisation will match all visitor donations, doubling contributions towards wildlife habitats across the Bristol-Avon River catchment.

Discover the Cosmic Dust Bunny in the OUTERverse

Visitors are encouraged to head to the Cleaning Cupboard near the exit of the OUTERverse, where the Cosmic Dust Bunny has created a playful disruption. The Cosmic Dust Bunny appears to have leapt into a bin, causing it to jam, and offers a light-hearted photo opportunity for visitors.

Following this, visitors are invited to imagine what the Cosmic Dust Bunny’s habitat might look like and take part in the accompanying Easter art competition.

Art Competition: Designing the Cosmic Dust Bunny’s Habitat

Wake The Tiger has also launched an Easter art competition, inviting participants to design a habitat for the Cosmic Dust Bunny. The competition is open to all ages and encourages a wide range of creative approaches, from traditional drawing and painting to collage and digital design.

How to enter:

  • Download the template online or collect a copy from the Wake The Tiger café
  • Create a habitat design using any medium
  • Submit the completed artwork via the online entry form

The winning entry will receive an Anytime Annual Pass, granting unlimited access to Wake The Tiger for one year. Entries are open from 28th March until 19th April.

Supporting Local Nature

Funds raised throughout the Easter period will contribute to the work of Avon Needs Trees, including the development of Lower Chew Forest, a new woodland project between Bristol and Bath.

The initiative aims to plant trees, restore hedgerows, and create species-rich grasslands and wetlands, providing long-term habitats for wildlife while supporting efforts to address the climate emergency.

Visitors can donate either on-site or during the ticket booking process, with all contributions matched by Wake The Tiger.
