Who We Are
Wake The Tiger is a radical creative company born in the South West and the visionary force behind the world’s first Amazement Park®. We fuse immersive art, storytelling, and purpose to create unforgettable experiences that disrupt the norm and ignite transformation.
Following the success of our Bristol site, we’re expanding to London in 2026 with an all-new immersive world designed to spark imagination and challenge perception on a whole new scale.
Our mission is simple: to use creativity as a force for good. We believe wonder is a catalyst, and amazement a tool - not just for escape, but for building a more connected, conscious, and courageous future.
The Role
We're looking for a Technical Lead to lead the technical team at our new London site and provide guidance when necessary to the Bristol team. This role sits at the intersection of production, creative technology, and hands-on problem solving.
You'll be joining the London team during the design and build phase, giving you the opportunity to input into the delivery and immerse yourself in the systems we're creating before taking ownership of them at launch. From day one, you'll be shaping how we operate, maintain, and evolve the technical landscape of the park.
You Will be Responsible For
Team Leadership
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 5-6 technicians covering daily operations and maintenance.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, documentation discipline and collaborative problem-solving.
Technical Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day technical operations across all park exhibits and experience spaces.
- Manage a proactive and reactive maintenance programme suited to a high footfall, guest-facing environment.
- Own and develop the technical documentation library, schematics, system diagrams, maintenance logs and operational procedures.
Exhibit Development & R&D
- Lead technical delivery for new and reworked exhibits, working closely with the creative and production teams.
- Drive R&D initiatives, scoping, commissioning and/or hands-on development of custom interactive and immersive experiences.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies that enhance the guest experience or improve operational efficiency.
Events & Seasonal Programmes
- Provide technical support for events, seasonal overlays and special activations across the full venue including event spaces.
- Collaborate with the wider events and programming team to plan and deliver technical requirements on time and on budget.
Strategy & Cross-Site Collaboration
- Contribute to the technical strategy for the London venue, advising on systems, investment and capabilities.
- Work with and support the Bristol technical team where appropriate, sharing knowledge and best practice across sites.
You’ll Bring the Following to Our Team
- A solid background in technical roles across live, immersive, interactive or AV projects - whether in museums, attractions, theatre, branded activations or experiential.
- Strong working knowledge of industry-standard AV and control technologies: Dante Audio, QSC Q-SYS, DMX & ArtNet, Pharos, BrightSign or equivalent. And enthusiasm to learn what you don’t already know.
- Confident with IT and networking fundamentals - VLANs, Wi-Fi controllers, virtualisation and NAS storage.
- Some experience and understanding of custom software and electronics development (either hands or project managing / commissioning) i.e. microcontrollers, custom LED drivers, game engines, web applications etc
- Proven experience leading a technical team, with the people skills to match.
- A clear communicator who works effectively across creative, operational and technical disciplines.
- Naturally documentation-minded - system records, maintenance logs and operational guides feel second nature.
