Discover the park
Based in Bristol, Wake The Tiger is the UK’s largest immersive art experience and the world’s first amazement® park; a hyper-reality, self-guided voyage of discovery through kaleidoscopic realms of the imagination.
With more than 40 immersive spaces and interactivity at every turn, you can also dive deeper into the story of this once vibrant and now struggling world.
Why the name ‘Wake The Tiger’?
The name was inspired by the book ‘Waking The Tiger’ by Peter Levine, which explores themes of trauma and transformation. It is about awakening that fierce, powerful part within ourselves to drive change.
The vision behind it is beautifully symbolic; on one side, a strong and fierce animal, and on the other, a playful, cuddly cub. Wake The Tiger represents the balance between these two – fierce yet playful, powerful yet approachable.

A JOURNEY LIKE NO OTHER...
Kai was just looking to get his head down for the night, but an extraordinary series of events led to him journeying to another world, parallel to ours, called Meridia. Kai managed to capture some of his journey on camera...
THE BACK STORY
Inquisitive visitors on planet Earth continue to enter an abandoned paint factory once owned by Meridia Luxury Homes, who were hoping to build luxury apartments.
Their plans were abruptly stopped, they say due to market conditions, however, word on the street is that there were actually very strange happenings, including unprecedented mushrooms (we call funga), mysterious ooze and a very stubborn tree that got in the way.

A PARALLEL WORLD
Visitors who discover this glowing, pulsing tree, start to see their surroundings blur as they journey to the parallel world of Meridia.
Due to heavy industry, mass-consumerism and the prioritisation of the economy over nature, Meridia has experienced near-complete climate and societal breakdown, down to just 5% of its natural resources (compared to planet Earth at 50%).

INTRODUCING THE SUB-COMS
Once through the portal into Meridia, visitors discover an abandoned factory. A group of people called Sub-Communities (Sub-Coms) have made this their home.
The Sub-Coms have arranged themselves into four groups; Explorers, Visionaries, Disruptors and Inventors. They work tirelessly to restore Meridia's ecosystems, using scavenged items and funga to stage wild experiments that they hope will breathe life back into their decimated world.

THE DREAM FACTORY
The Sub-Coms call this sprawling space the Dream Factory; a beacon of hope.
Visitors explore secret passageways, nooks and crannies, before arriving at the Sanctuary; a revered place where the Sub-Coms come together to tinker and test the power of four types of funga they have found.
When harmoniously balanced, they unlock the fifth element, Aether. Once harnessed, it gives the ability to transcend to the OUTERverse.

TRANSCEND TO THE OUTERVERSE
The OUTERverse cannot be easily explained. It is a soul-searching, mind-bending, personal voyage where your adventure is not just a destination, but a state of mind. Everyone has the power to experience this journey, but only those who truly connect will reach a higher state; a dimension beyond imagination.

INSPIRE. DISRUPT. BELIEVE.
Visitors who return back to planet Earth often find their journey has opened their mind to new or alternative ways to view our world. Perhaps that beacon of hope the Sub-Coms found in their own world.
