THE GREAT FESTIVE COMEBACK
Every year, 17 million sprouts are thrown away during the festive season, making them the most wasted food of the holidays. In Meridia, things were no different. Rejected for being too gassy, too smelly, too… sprouty, they vanished from plates and eventually from the fields.
For years, sprouts were just a memory…but on a recent scavenging mission, the Sub-Coms unearthed a frozen FareShare crate containing what’s believed to be the last sprouts in Meridia.
The Sub-Coms built cloning machines so everyone could enjoy a festive feast once more. That was until a mysterious mushroom appeared on one of the machines… and something strange happened.
The decorations vanished. The OUTERverse was taken over. The sprouts had come alive for a festive comeback!
Expect sprout-tastic twists, nostalgic moments, and a feel-good story brought to life through pre-loved materials and upcycled creations, where the humble sprout becomes the unlikeliest hero of the season.

A message beneath the magic
Some won’t even get a sprout this Christmas. While we’re celebrating the joy of rediscovery, we’re also shining a light on something very real - food inequality.
This year, we’re proud to partner with FareShare South West, a charity fighting hunger and tackling food waste across our region.
Find out more about FareShare South West below.

together, we can make a difference
This Christmas, Wake The Tiger is pledging to raise £10,000 for FareShare South West.
Through a match-funding pledge, every pound we raise will be doubled - creating the potential for £20,000 total!
£1 = food for 4 meals.
£20,000 gives food for 80,000 meals to locals in the South West Community.
Each week, FareShare South West reaches over 40,000 people, helping our neighbours feel the true spirit of the season - community, care, and hope.

Guess the number of sprouts in the park!
Guess how many sprouts are in Meridia and be in with the chance of winning 1 of 10 Sproutlings!

The name was inspired by the book ‘Waking The Tiger’ by Peter Levine. It explores themes of trauma and transformation. It is about awakening that fierce, powerful part within ourselves to drive change. The vision behind it is beautifully symbolic; on one side, a strong and fierce animal, and on the other, a playful, cuddly cub. Wake The Tiger represents the balance between these two – fierce yet playful, powerful yet approachable.
