The world’s first Amazement Park®, Wake the Tiger, has announced the return of its Re-Creation Station for the October half term. Starting on Friday 21st October and running until the 29th, the unique activity space will invite families to get creative with Halloween themed colouring at the recreation station.
From the minds behind the festival Boomtown Fair, Wake the Tiger is a walk-through art experience that pushes the boundaries of imagination. Known for creativity as well as sustainability, the team will bring back the Re-Creation Station to the Guildhall cafe to allow both the young and young at heart to get stuck into some creative endeavours..
Within the world of Meridia, natural resources are reduced to just 5% (here on Earth, we’re down to 50%). With so mush-room to grow and expand on the Amazement Park® experience, Wake the Tiger’s recently launched mushroom trails will reveal information about the guilds and the work Meridia is doing in order to reverse the changes caused by the exploitation of resources. Alluding to how fungus can help rewild different geographical habitats and help tackle wider ecological issues, this message is eerily similar to one we’re facing much closer to home.
At the recreation station during half term, activity sheets featuring all these mushrooms will be available for colouring in where families and kids can unleash their creativity at no extra cost to the full Wake the Tiger experience.
Wake The Tiger invites visitors to wander its unique, ever-evolving world of imagination, discovery and play. The ambitious project was launched in July 2022, featuring 30 creative environments featuring artworks, installations, narrative, soundscape, secret passageways and more. More than 220,000 tickets have been sold in just over a year to visitors across more than 60 countries.
