Halloween hijinks at Wake The Tiger: Danse Macabre

Shadow walkers and sky queens, junk lords and born survivors, Wake The Tiger welcomes you to discover the world of Meridia and the guild celebration of times lost

On the Friday before All Hallows Eve, the world’s first Amazement Park®, Wake The Tiger, will host an exclusive adults-only Halloween event like no other: Danse Macabre.

Another term for the dance of death, Danse Macabre will play host to thrilling performers, games and high energy live bands and DJs from 6.30pm until 1am – all set against the immersive backdrop of Meridia’s Dream Factory. Tickets for the limited-space event are on sale now at: https://go.kaboodle.co.uk/wake-the-tiger-halloween

Danse Macabre began in medieval times as a memento mori: a way to remind people of how vain the strive for earthly possessions can be and how fragile life is. In the world of Meridia itself, the guilds are striving to find a path from the brink of self-destruction, by breaking down the social inequality and finding a route to sustainability and harmony with the planet.

Transcending into darkness for this one-off evening of celebration, Wake The Tiger invites guests to dress for the post apocalyptic future and join the dance on Friday 28th October from 6.30pm. Last entry to the portal will be at 9pm, after which the main event will take place in The Guildhall Bar area and main street – with the celebrations coming to an end in the early morning witching hour of Saturday 29th October.

“Within the world of Meridia, guests will watch the old world slip away into shadow and dust, like a burning ship into the setting sun. From this precipice of change, they will glimpse the hope of a new day rising with the dawn”  says Doug Fransisco, Artistic Director at Wake The Tiger.

This is the first ever event taking place at Wake The Tiger and tickets are available now from the Wake The Tiger website at www.wakethetiger.com. This event is for those 18+ only, however the Wake The Tiger experience is open to all ages with last entry atl 3pm on the 28th.

A year-round attraction from the artistic team behind the ground-breaking festival, Boomtown, Wake The Tiger blurs the lines between an interactive theatre and detailed film set.
