Middleweight Designer
Wake The Tiger is looking for a talented and ambitious Middleweight Designer to join our growing in-house commercial team. You’ll work alongside our existing designer to deliver world-class creative design across our Bristol site and our new London site, opening Summer 2026.
This is a pivotal role where, with our existing designer, you’ll take ownership of campaigns and creative projects from concept to completion, working across digital and print, motion, merchandise, advertising, and large-scale design, both within the experience and outside of it. You’ll become a guardian of our brand identity, helping define and raise our visual standards as we expand into our next chapter.

Chief Commercial Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Design & Campaigns
- Generate bold, original design ideas executed with technical knowledge, precision and flair.
- Develop on-trend campaigns and artwork tailored to diverse projects and audiences.
- Lead with a digital-first mindset, while applying creativity seamlessly across multiple platforms (digital, motion, social, OOH, billboards, flyers, guidebooks, merchandise).
- Create compelling motion and animation assets to elevate campaigns.
- Design merchandise for online and onsite retail.
Brand Development & Guardianship
- Evolve and protect Wake The Tiger’s brand identity, ensuring consistent representation across all creative output.
- Act as Brand Ambassador, setting and defining standards of visual work across the business.
- Balance a holistic view of brand needs with detail-oriented execution.
- Contribute to the evolution of brand style as we expand to new sites and audiences.
Project Management & Workflow
- Own projects from brief through to delivery with minimal check-ins.
- Accurately gauge timescales, project scope, and requirements to deliver efficiently.
- Champion workflow efficiency, improving processes and reducing lead times.
- Confidently work independently while collaborating effectively with the designer and wider teams.
Print & Production
- Manage and deliver high-quality large-scale print projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local printers, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
- Oversee production across formats, from large-scale environmental graphics to everyday print assets.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop brand-aligned creative for various formats.
- Contribute design to in-world / on-site experiences, ensuring creative seamlessly integrates with the visitor journey.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Essential
- At least 5 years experience working either freelance, agency or client side.
- Design degree, qualification or equivalent.
- Expert knowledge of relevant software (Adobe Suite, Illustration programs of your choice, Canva and/or Figma)
- Experienced in animation and motion graphics
- Experienced in Product design and Artworking
- A genuine passion for design and creative culture.
- Meticulous eye for detail.
- Manage your time efficiently, delivering against deadlines and able to prioritise effectively.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, always looking for new, improved ways of approaching tasks.
- Great work ethic and willing to put in the effort required for a great outcome.
- Awareness of current design culture with a love for brand, design, digital and communication in general.
- Looking to build a career with an organisation in its infancy, but with very exciting, ambitious growth plans.
Desirable
- Interest and knowledge in digital and UI design (HTML and CSS experience is a bonus).
- Either amateur or professional ability with photography and/or videography with the ability to turn these into assets for campaigns
