On the first Thursday of every month we offer Calm Sessions, where we have reduced our capacity, sound and lighting, to provide a calmer Wake The Tiger experience.
These Calm Sessions are for anyone who could find a visitor attraction overwhelming when open to the general public, particularly SEND and neurodivergent people of all ages. So if you perhaps prefer less people and where sensory-stimulation is managed, including the lights and sounds, then a Calm Session could be perfect for you and your party. These sessions are also open to family members, friends and carers.
Please note:
- On Thursday 5th December only the 10:00 & 10:30 slots are Calm Sessions.
- Opening times 10:00 – 18:00 with last entry at 16:30
- Due to maintenance to improve the experience, Calm Sessions will not be held in January, September & November 2025.

For more on accessibility, see our guide below.
Yes there is, and it is called The Guildhall. It can be accessed at any point during the experience, either before, after or if you’d prefer a break during your walk through.
For Calm Sessions we do also allow food and drink to be brought and consumed in the Café Bar, although where possible try to avoid food and drink in the experience itself.
Yes there is, however please note it does not currently have a hoist. Additionally there are hand dryers in all the toilets, however we understand the noise can be uncomfortable for some, so these are switched off and we ensure paper towels are available.
We do have a manual wheelchair and 2 sound-cancelling headphones which can be pre-booked for free. Please contact us if you would like to secure one of these for your visit.
Additionally we have created an accessibility guide, visual and written journey which you can read before your visit.
We love feedback, so whatever it is we can take it. It helps us grow and improve. If you would like to offer any feedback or suggestions before or after then please do contact us. Equally during the session you can also talk to a member of staff.
